Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

NVC is applied in many schools ad kindergartens and supports the development of social skills in children and adults.

The NVC process is also known as the Giraffe language and life-enriching communication.

Free film about NVC in schools

In collaboration with Filmkompagniet I have made 5 short films about Culture of Peace in School with NVC. I am now sharing these films with everybody who is interested in teaching NVC.

In the film the teacher uses flashcards with feelings and needs to help the children understand their own needs and feelings as well as needs and feelings of others. Film about conflict management in schools 

The illustrated cards come from the book Respectful Parents, Respectful Kids by Sura Hart and Victoria Kindle Hodson

Besiden english, the five Danish films about NVC in schools have been translated/ subtitled in Chinese, Nepalese, German, and recently in Polish, Italian and Dutch. Bulgarian, Norwegian, Portuguese and Spanish versions will also be made available. Find them in the navigation menu left.
